The ‘Bowerham Bomber’ came through the ranks at Bolton Wanderers’ academy before signing originally for Lancaster City in 2014 under manager Darren Peacock.

After a short stint away as a Mint Cake, Sam joined Lancaster City along with younger brother Charlie in 2017 from Kendal Town. Sam has made 242 appearances in Dolly Blue ahead of the new season, scoring 28 goals.

A dead-ball specialist with one of the best crosses in the Northern Premier League, he was acknowledged as Director’s Player of the Year at the 2022/23 end-of-season awards presentation.
