Gravesend were already assured of the league title when they won at Hove the previous week but were looking forward to round off the season with a win

A late cancellation Friday evening, only confirmed by the league secretary just before midnight, when Heath could not field a team, meant that Gs could have a well deserved rest before their Kent Cup Final against Blackheath on 27 April.

Gravesend went through the season losing just three league fixtures, all of which could have been won with a more disciplined approach to those games.

Their record shows that they not only were top on points but they also had a superior points difference to their nearest rivals Chichester.

Top points scorer was Miki Zanirato with 279 with all but fifteen of these coming from the boot. Top try scorer was open side flanker, Adam Aigbokhae with fourteen, followed by Gary Gray and Temitope Okenla with ten each.

The full statistics for each player can be seen under the first XV home page.

Despite there being a number of injuries throughout the season, only eighteen players played ten or more games, from a total of thirty-six that had been on the park at sometime during the season.

With new Head Coach Chris Wilkins being in situ from the beginning of June, Gravesend will need to prepare for the 2014/15 season where they will be back in National 3.
