A Greenfield side missing 8 players and playing defender Darren Johns in goal put in a solid display to ease to a 2-0 win away Caerwys in the NEWFA Cup. The first goal came on the stroke of half time when Jack Pennington put his 20 yard free kick straight into the top corner to leave the hosts keepers with no chance. The game was killed 7 minutes into the second half with another excellent strike, this time it was Connor Hughes who found the bottom right hand corner from 25 yards out. We now progress to the 2nd round of the NEWFA Cup where we will host Halkyn & Flint mountain on Wednesday 4th August.
