Greenfield 5 New Brighton Villa 0

Greenfield secured the North East Wales premier division title with a resounding 5-0 win at New Brighton Villa. It was the home side who had the better of the early exchanges and would have taken the lead if it hadn't had been from a top class save from Andy Billington . After 20 minutes we finally settled down and started to play our football. The scoring should have been opened on 30 minutes when Ryan Jones went through on goal but he shot straight at the keeper. He soon made amends by scoring two well taken goals in the space of 10 minutes both assisted by strike partner Dean Hyland. Ben Sim made it three on the stroke of half time when his left footed strike arrowed into the bottom corner from 18 yards. The second half was all one way and the fourth came on 67 minutes via a Dean Hyland pass that broke the hosts offside trap for Connor Hughes to score. The fifth goal came on 84 minutes when Liam Simon`s back post header was blocked and it fell for Ryan Jones to hammer home for his hat trick goal.

It was an excellent performance to seal the title and the trophy will presented in Saturdays final game at home to Coedpoeth
