Greenfield needed a late goal to earn a point in the league opener away at Lex. Greenfield made three changes from last week with Ash Davies and Dylan Roberts returning to the starting eleven and goal keeper Connor Massey making his debut. We started brightly and took the lead on 15 minutes through a long range Jack Gibbons effort. Greenfield failed to take further advantage in the half despite dominating possession and sloppy defending allowed Lex winger Alex Palmer to draw level on the stroke of half time. Greenfield were lacklustre second half and fell behind on 66 minutes through a 20 yard Ricky Evans free kick. The hosts were reduced to ten men on 74 minutes following a high tackle on Dylan Roberts. A triple substitution then gave Greenfield more impetus and in the 90th minute we drew level from a composed finish from Dean Hyland.
