Greenfield were denied three points after Nantlle Vale produced a late comeback to gain a point in an entertaining 3-3 draw.Greenfield were in control for the majority of game but failure to take clear cut chances proved costly.After a tentative opening period we opened the scoring on 17 minutes when Keith Ainsworth flicked in a Gareth Henley corner.The lead lasted only one minute when sloppy play allowed Jack Jones to equalise.Greenfield had several opportunities to regain the lead before the break but we have to settle for going in level at half time.We started the second half well and went ahead again when Mark Williams scored from another Gareth Henley corner.It should have been three when a Tom Carney put in an excellent cross but Gareth Henley missed when well placed.Our third goal came on 84 minutes when Gareth Henley got a deserved goal.Nantlle Vale then produced a comeback when Simon Kay hit a volley that flew into the top corner.This gave the visitors hope of gaining a point.The game should have sealed when a Jon Rush shot was saved and the rebound fell to Keith Ainsworth and he missed from close range.In the last minute Nantlle Vale nicked a point.Even though the lads were deflated after the game there were plenty of positives that we played a side of the park that are likely to end the season as champions.Our recent unbeaten run continues and we face another tough test next week as we travel to top of the league Trearddur Bay.
