If your organisation may be interested in one of our sponsorship packages our Club has on offer for the forthcoming season. We had a fantastic season last year, where Greenock won promotion to Scottish Hydro National 1 as League Champions having only lost 1 game throughout the season as well as reaching the final of the Scottish Hydro National Shield tournament which was played at Murrayfield. Our Club is steeped in history and is amongst the oldest in Scotland, founded in 1873.
We will be running 2 Senior XV’s, Under 18, Under 17, sides along with a Development Ladies section as well as our ever popular youth rugby section which is the envy of many other Clubs in West/Central Scotland. The youth section covers children from the school age of Primary 1 through until they are 17.
Our investment in youth rugby is now being recognised with players like
•Kieren Smith – won the prestigious Player of the Season for the National 2 League 2009/10.
•Jack McFarlane selected for Scotland U18’s.
•Andrew Kirkland selected for Scotland U19’s.
•9 of our U15’s were selected for the Renfrewshire Rhinos.
Our current 1st XV have all came through the minis and midis sections which is testimony to our commitment to rugby throughout the Club. The costs are however, substantial and whilst we have a vast army of volunteers willing to turn out every week to provide coaching and cover all the administration aspects, we do require outside assistance and we hope that you would consider joining with us to maintain and promote this facility in Inverclyde. Also during last season we were awarded Club of the Month for November, which commends the club’s on and off-field performance in November(season to date) by the SRU. The award is based on three key criteria – performance, growing the game and discipline.
During the course of a season we run a full programme of Pre Match Lunches for most of our Home games. These have proven to be very popular and offer superb value at £23.00 per head for a 3 course meal and complimentary wine.
