This is the newsletter given out on 6th July 2013

Ay up folks,
I thought that I would pass on some information to you all via a short letter rather than word of mouth or text.
Great News about Sponsorship!
I am thrilled to say that our team is receiving some significant sponsorship that should enable us to get each player a hoodie and the team have a smart new kit! Massive thanks go to Mark and Emma at Seal Construction for their generous offer. If you know anyone who would be willing to sponsor our team (or the club) please let me know or ask them to contact me.
General Information about Staying in Touch:
I think I have everyone’s mobile number so that I can contact you by text with basic information. If I have the wrong number please let me know. There are a couple of other ways in which you can keep your finger on the pulse that you might find useful.
• The club has a website, www.greetlandallrounders.co.uk. You can request to become a member of the site, allowing you access to all areas. We have a page on there under ‘MINI’ at the top of the home page.
• I have created a page on Facebook (for the adults not the kids) called Greetland Allrounders Mini Mod. It is a ‘closed’ group, but you can ask to join. If lots of us join this we can use it to pass on information.
Yorkshire League Here We Come!
We are currently waiting for our application to join the Yorkshire League to be processed. Hopefully this won’t take much longer. Once accepted, we will be given friendlies to play (there are no leagues or cups at this age group). We will need people to take on some responsibilities however, so it would be great if a few of you could help out:
• Team Manager: There is a bit of paperwork that we have to do each time we play. The team manager does this, leaving the coaches free to concentrate on the players before and after the game.
• First Aider: It would be great if someone who already has a basic 1st aid qualification could step forward; OR, failing that, someone willing to take the qualification.
• Touchline manager: A person nominated to control our supporters! Sounds daft (and it is a bit daft, especially at this age), but we have to have one.
• Kitchen: Tradition at junior rugby league is that the home team provides some sort of after match snack for both sets of players. We also make a little money selling tea, coffee and bacon butties if we can get a couple of people to run things, perhaps with some more people taking their turn as required.
All of the above posts need filling. As a responsible junior club, we would require all of the volunteers to have a police check done. The club provides the forms and pays for the checks.
Cheers,
Gav
