History
Originally playing from Hereford Rugby Club at Rockfield Road , over the years the club has played at various venue's but stayed based at the Greyhound until the Greyhound closed in 1995, we then based ourselves at the Ship Inn, playing where ever we could get a pitch, i.e hereford Rfc, Leisure Centre, Cathederal School, Holme Lacy, Widemarsh Common, Until 1998 when we joined the City Sports Club giving us our present home.
From the start the Greyhound have always played rugby at a very competative level, playing sides from Wales, Gloucester, Shrewsbury, Worcester, Local Police, Army, Airforce, Fire Brigade, Touring Sides, Hereford Rfc, Ledbury Rfc, Bromyard Rfc, and Luctonians Rfc.
Over the years the club has been on various tours to various destinations, Ireland, Belgium, Isle of Man, Bodmin, and Minehead to name a few.
The club started playing saturday fixtures in 1997 joining the leagues in the North Midlands, county affiliated to Hereford & Worcester Rfu and after spending 10 season in the North midlands leagues we switched to the South West Section joining Gloucester 3 and after a respectable 4th in our 1st season, our second season was more of a success we finnished runners up and got promoted to Gloucester 2, our 3rd season was a mixed affair but with our 4th season in the South West upon us, we are hoping for more success.
