Grimsby Borough have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of attacking midfielder Jack Wrightwick. Wrightwick's previous clubs include Louth Town, Boston United and he began the season at Boston Town where he remains joint top scorer with nine goals, in October the midfielder made the move up from the United Counties Premier Division side to Evo-Stik Division One South side Spalding United. Spalding currently sit second in the division three points behind leaders former NCEL side Shaw Lane. Wrightwick picked up just two goals during his time at Spalding and they both came in a league cup victory against Carlton Town.
Wrightwick becomes Borough's second signing from the Evo-Stik leagues in as many weeks following the arrival of Jake Gibson from Lincoln United. Wrightwick could make his Borough debut on Saturday when Borough host mannerless Dronfield Town at the Bradley Football Development Centre.
