Well as our season come to an end last Saturday, we thought why not have a quick review of the season. Manager Scott Powles said he was happy with how the season went finishing 6th out of 9 teams in a very strong East Lincs Combination Division 1 also retaining the Tim Sales Cup. It was the first year in this division after the league decided to promote the team up from division 3 last season.
So some stats.
League record P16 W6 D1 L9 F33 A44, Home P8 W2 D1 L5 F16 A21 , Away P8 W4 D0 L4 F17 A23 , looks like our away form was better this season but the scoring records very similar with 1 more scored away but 2 more conceded.
Top appearance's Josh Tidswell made the top spot with 27 followed by both James Bryant and CJ Peart on 25. In total 49 players this season but 22 of them making 4 appearance's or less
Top scorer clear winner here Billy Nicholson netting 18 times from 20 games. Aaron McKenzie 11 from 19 and Jamie Loftus 7 from 21. 17 other players managed to get on the score sheet this season. A few good goals too this season Aaron McKenzie with a last minute winner at home vs Tetney, Brad Elliott again vs Tetney but away with a fine strike from range also Jack Wilson with a free kick from range away at Sutton Rovers and plenty others which I'm sure the players will message me about. If I had time I would list them all.
Substitutes, taken off this season James Bryant 12 from 25, Jamie Loftus 10 from 21 and Ross Beattie 8 from 14. Not nice stats but do bear in mind that sometimes players where subbed off due to games to be played the next day for u18's. Subbed on CJ Peart 10, Josh Evenden 9 and Ben Thompson 8.
Now the bad boys Brad Elliott and Chris Blake both got yellow cards on 3 occasions this season. Red cards just 2 Bill Nicholson and Paul Jones.
