Pete strikes it lucky.

Vice Chair of Grimsby Borough had a stroke of luck last night at Rossington.

After a steady journey across to South Yorkshire last night the final approach into Rossington was greeted with apprehension by the Borough Committee Car, ably driven by Vice Chair Peter Briggs.

The reason for the apprehension the infamous Rossington Railway Crossing but Pete fuelled by his handfuls of Sports Mix Sweets (I have missed away games and the sweets) used up this seasons luck and drove straight over the crossing not once but twice. After the return trip over the crossing Pete celebrated by refusing a Tangtastic offered from the back of the car and gesturing to me in the passenger seat. I did get the last laugh though as i won the namecard in the bar after the game.

So a good game, a deserved point, 2 crossings of the railway, £15, lots of laughs and a big bag of sports mix = a great night out for the Blue Army.
