SATURDAY 26th APRIL 2014
TOOLSTATION NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
GRIMSBY BOROUGH V BOTTESFORD TOWN
KICK OFF 3:00p.m.
NEWBY LEISURE LIMITED sponsored Grimsby Borough will be looking to end the 2013/2014 season with three points when they take on promotion hopefuls Bottesford Town at Bradley on Saturday
The final game of the season is guaranteed to be exciting withb the outside chance of Bottesford needing a win to secure promotion.
Manager Steve Newby said it would be great to finish the season on a high but we must realise Bottesford are a good side, they have been up their all season and it’s only at the tail end of the year that they have slipped a little.
We must finish the season well to kick on to next year a bad defeat will linger right through the summer but i’m sure the lads will do their best for us again.
Bottesford only managed a draw in their last outing 3-3 at Dronfield Town. They currently lie third in the table and will know how their fate stands after Shaw Lane finish their season tonight (Thursday) with a home game v Knaresborough Town.
A win would see Shaw Lane promoted while a draw would leave the Poachers needing a 20 goal margin to gain second place. A defeat for Shaw Lane would leave Town just two points adrift and Bradley in for a great game an an exciting finish.
