Three Wheels On My Wagon!

A review of Borough trip to Eccleshill United.

Grimsby Borough sponsored by The Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education faced Eccleshill United on a reasonably cold afternoon. It took around 2 hours to reach Bradford with traffic and road works. The team minibus couldn't find where to go so Brian Bell the Eagles 1st Team Fixture Secretary helped The Wilderness Boys. When all did arrive everyone was welcomed by all of the officials at Eccleshill. The kick off was delayed until 7:50 due to the bus getting lost and the blow out it received on the A180. The pitch was a bit moody was fit enough to be played on. We all enjoyed the first half and the teams went in 2-2 which we though was a fair scoreline. The half-time hospitality was lovely and Chairperson Rona Simons told us,
"It was a very nice combination, the cheese slice and onion. They showed a huge amount of effort."
The second half kicked off and Unfortunately the lines man had to come of due to a ankle injury and was replaced by Borough coach Martin Blades. We went 4-2 behind but we never lost hope as we scored to make it 4-3 with Robert Greetham's header. Unfortunately the final score was 4-3. After the match hot dogs were served for players and officials of both clubs and the match officials.

We enjoyed our trip to Eccleshill and would like to rate Eccleshill United 56/100.
