The Wilderness Boys have completed the signing of striker Danny Trott from Boston Town.

Grimsby Borough are delighted to announce the signing of Danny Trott. Trott joins up with the side having started the season at Boston Town of the United Counties League Premier Division and has started in all five of their games so far this season. Danny's only competitive goal of the season came in a 4-1 defeat against Wisbech in the FA Cup altough he was also on the score sheet in pre-season when the poachers drew 1-1 with Borough in the Pink Rose Fixture.

This wasn't the first time that he had scored against Borough having also scored in a 3-1 victory against Borough for his former side Cleethorpes Town last pre-season. Trott struck an impressive 18 times last season. Trott also featured and was victorious in last seasons Toolstation NCEL League Cup Final.

Trott has been on the radar at Borough for quite a while and co-manager Dan Barrett is delighted to have completed the signing. "He is someone we pencilled in as one of our targets for this season. It didn't happen in the summer but we kept tabs on him and seen he has done well scoring goals...we reproached Trotty and he has decided to come which is great for us."

"He adds another dimension to our play and he is another piece in the jigsaw. Very happy to have him on board. He brings goals and some aggression that we need."

Trott joins up with a number of his team mates at Borough this season which include Darren Hanslip, Danny Grant, along with fellow strikers Louis Grant and Sam Walker who has impressed so far playing for Borough's Reserve side who have won all league four games so far.

Trott could make his Borough debut this weekend when the first team visit Penistone Church in the Toolstation NCEL Division One tomorrow.
