- Nathan Collins, 1st Team Management

Two weeks ago today Grimsby Borough confirmed the appointment of England C Scout Nathan Collins to our first team's management team, we took the opportunity to speak to Nathan to find out more about why he made the decision to join the club.

Local man Collins has spent of a lot of time traveling recently in his football career particularly to South Lincolnshire where he was Boston Town manager on two occasions however, Collins has now taken the decision to come to one of his hometown teams. "The main reason that I chose to come to Borough is becuase it is a local club on the up in addition to having a lot of respect for Andy (Liddle) and Dan (Barrett)."

Collins has been a regular face at Bradley in his spare time to watch the Wilderness Boys in action and has seen how well the club is being run, "I haven't really got any history at the club but it i know its being really well run from top to bottom."

As with everyone who joins the club it is vital that they support the #OneBoro campaign that the club are running which ensures every player and member from the youngest to the oldest feels a part of the one club we have and Collins is no exception, "I think its very important for the whole club to work together from the youngest team right through to the first team, its important everybody at the club is pulling in the same direction."

Collins, who's role at the club is on the management team with Andy and Dan has joined the club with the aim of supporting the clubs progression both on and off the field. "My aim is to help to push the club on to the next level and keep us progressing. I will also be watching alot of the younger teams play. I spent three years as assistant manager at Grimsby Town's Youth Team and I know how important it is for young players to progress into the first team and thats exactly the same at Boro."
