MATCH RESULTS 3-4 MARCH
1st XV still top of London 1 South with an away win at Thanet
Thanet Wanderers 21 – 56 Guernsey
Guernsey racked up another big points tally as they took their unbeaten run in London One South to 13 games on Saturday. The green-and-whites beat Thanet Wanderers in Kent to stay top of the table but level on points with Chichester, who won 38-10 against Trojans. Guernsey will meet Trojans on 24 March in Chichester.
Blair Campbell got two tries while head coach Jordan Reynolds also scored. Malcolm Barnes, Tom Ceillam, Luke Jones, Luke Sayer and Robin Le Cocq also went over while Sayer added five conversions and two penalties.
"We've still got five games to go and at the end of the day we're just looking at each game as they come," Reynolds told BBC Guernsey. "We're not really worried about getting too much advanced, we're just worried about Dover this week," added Reynolds. "Every game is big for us from now on in, we'll concentrate on every game that comes up."
Three good wins for the Academy
Guernsey U16s 39 – 0 Fawley RFC, Hampshire League
On a day made for running rugby the U16s scored five tries to secure their fourth consecutive win in the Hampshire League. Remarkably they have not only won all four of their league games, but have yet to concede a single point.

ACADEMY NEWS
Luke Jones has been selected as one of eight standby players for the England Under 18 clubs and schools team who are scheduled to play Ireland on Sunday 15 April 2012.
In addition, the England Under 18s will have two warm up matches on 11 March against Northampton Saints and on 8 April against Leicester Tigers Academy. The match against Leicester Tigers U18s may cause Luke some dilemma as he may be called upon to play for the Tigers who he has already debuted for this season.
Jones played for London and South East U18 Division at wing and full back in the Divisional Festival held on 17 – 19 February where London and South East were the England Divisional Champions, this will have been a major factor in him being spotted for an England place.
Luke is one of 20 Academy players who have been called to Hampshire trials this season. Last Sunday Dom Rice and Taylor Quate helped Hampshire U15s to a 17-0 win over Essex in the first ever age group representative game. Last month Dan de Kock and Gareth Davies attended the U17 Hampshire trials where de Kock was successful in being a standby player for the U17 Hampshire squad. The girl’s have not been left out with Rachel Merrien having played three matches for Hampshire Ladies U18s and been put forward for a Divisional trial for London and South East U18s.
