WELCOME
Welcome to 2012, we hope you've had a good winter and are looking forward to some summer rugby league.
This year there will be the new introduction of Skills Awards. We will have two days during the year where your child’s skills will be assessed and as a result can gain Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. There will also be 5 festivals, local fixtures, training dates and the chance to be involved with the London Broncos and play at the Stoop.
This year there will be some new teams competing with us including Barking and Dagenham Bulldogs, Hemel Stags, Southend Spartans and St Albans Centurions.
We will once again be playing at Surrey Sports Park on the 3G pitches as with last year and we hope to see you there again next month!
TRY IT DAY
Saturday April 14th at Surrey Sports Park – put it in your diary! The Giants will be holding a club wide 'Try It' day. It is aimed at anyone interested in trying Rugby League for the first time and will give them a grounding in the basics involved. That doesn't mean existing and experienced players can't come down, everyone is welcome to join in and new players could do with meeting those who have experience. Coaching staff from the RFL and London Broncos will be coming to help out and coach alongside the Giants coaches.
The schedule for the day is:
10-11.30am - Minis Try It on the 3G
12-2pm - Men's and Women's Try It on the grass rugby pitch
2-4pm – Chance to meet the Giants team and fellow players in the Bench Bar
8pm onwards – Social night out starting at Pews Bar
