Both sides shared a point each in this Central Wales battle, with Guilsfield being held at bay by a resolute home side and a fine performance between the posts by Leigh Jenkins.
Penrhyncoch took an early lead as Liam Doherty latched onto a through ball to slot home after Andy Wycherley had initially seen his save came off the cross for the youngster to finish.
Guilsfield came flooding forward looking for the equaliser and the pressure finally paid off in the 23rd minute as Andy Ford finished off a great move down the right.
Guilsfield went searching for the lead with a series of raids but the Roosters held firm. This continued into the second half as we couldn't manage to break down the home side with Jenkins making a couple of excellent stops. Louis Irvine's snap shot grazed the cross bar in the final stages but it wasn't to be a win on the day.
An entertaining match served up by both sides in tricky conditions.
