Guilsfield brought Denbigh's 5 match league winning run to a halt with this win at Central Park.
We came out of the blocks with intent and took an early lead through Asa Hamilton who met Adam Jenkins' cross to fire home on 6 mins.
We doubled our lead on 32 mins as Jake Cook made a great run through the heart of the Denbigh defence and created the gap to find the back of the net. Cook, Hamilton and Jenkins gave the home rearguard plenty to think about through the game.
Denbigh looked to make a comeback in the second half as Josh Davies fired home on 48 mins but Guilsfield extended the lead ten minutes later as Asa unselfishly teed the ball up for Chris Cathrall to score and restore our two goal advantage. Andy Wycherley and the back four ensured that Denbigh could not close the gap again as we saw off the remainder of the game to secure the win and move up to 4th spot in the table.
