Flint Town United 1 Guilsfield 2

Guilsfield came away from a windswept Cae Castell with maximum points for the first time in its Cymru Alliance history.
We went a goal down in the 9th minute after Stewart Carroll's free kick found the top corner. The first half was a real battle and tempers flared on 33 minutes with both Shaun Beck and James Henderson dismissed unnecessarily.
The second half saw us change our style of play and we adapted better to the conditions as Flint could not find the target with any of their chances in the second period.
Chris Cathrall became the main threat as his lethal throws caused havoc in the Flint rearguard and eventually the pressure told as Danny Barton poked home after another long throw was thrown into the box.
Ten minutes later and we were ahead as Rhydian Morris rifled home a partially cleared long throw. The last few minutes of the game was "backs to the wall" but the lads stood up to the task with their usual team spirit.
