Guilsfield 0 gap Connah's Quay 3 (aet)

In a pulsating cup tie, Guilsfield did themselves proud with a great performance against their Welsh Prem visitors.
The final score belied a close match as Guilsfield took the game to the away side with an excellent performance, especially in the second half. The missing ingredient was just finding the net, as Guilsfield had half a dozen decent chances to take the lead and had one clear cut chance when Adam Jenkins lifted his shot over the bar in the second period.
The 30 minutes of extra time finally saw Guilsfield's defence breached with a snapshot into the corner of the net in the first period. Two further goals made the score 3-0 but it was a harsh scoreline for the home side as they were caught on the break in the final stages. Gap's Callum Morris was dismissed in the final minutes of the game for his second yellow to dampen the away side's victory.

A cracking game played at a great tempo throughout and Guilsfield gave a performance they could be proud of. Gap Connah's Quay took the spoils and good luck to them in the competition.
