Guilsfield 1 Flint Town United 1

The game ended all square at the Community Centre in the league' s top match of the day. In form Flint went behind to an early James Henderson goal on 6 minutes after a corner caused confusion in the away defence and Hendo was there to tap home. Flint were able to get back into the game, and had the better of the first half.
It was plain to see from the sidelines that the players were struggling with the sticky and slippery surface but both teams gave it their all in a very good match. Flint equalised on 36 mins through a corner of their own which saw Luke Camden head home. Flint could have gone ahead after a curling shot from Macauley hit the upright just before the break.
Guilsfield came out purposefully for the second half and just edged the second period. Our best chance came when Barton's close control and lay off put Adam Jenkins through on goal but his shot came off the post. It was end to end stuff in the latter stages and the honours were shared after the 90 minutes in a game where neither team deserved to lose.

The Reserves also earned a point in the match at Meifod. The final score was 4 - 4, after we had taken a two goal lead only for the hosts hit back with four. We scored two goals in the last ten mins to even the game.
