Guils crash at home
Guilsfield 1 Buckley Town 3
Guilsfield were looking to bounce back from last Saturday's League Cup exit but were guilty of conceding 3 goals for the second successive game.
Guilsfield could have been three up early but for wasteful finishing and fine goalkeeping. Buckley also had their chances and were denied by the woodwork.
The deadlock was broken 5 mins into the second half with Aled Bellis slotting home from the penalty spot. Buckley's second was a free header from a corner on 61 mins with Chris Roberts powering home in acres of space.
The introduction of Steve Blenkinsop sparked a mini revival with the striker finishing a one-on-one on 73 mins but the away side sealed their win on 87 mins with Guilsfield failing to clear the area and Kieron Moore pouncing on the loose ball.
A disappointing home display by the Guils and on Tuesday we again travel away for a midweek fixture versus undefeated league leaders Airbus.
Team: Jones, Bromley, Parry, Rogers, Litchfield, James, Clifton, Ford, Harris, Jenkins, Richards. Subs: Weetman (Rogers), Blenkinsop (Clifton), Cathrall.
The Reserves remain unbeaten after a close 1-0 away win at Llangedwyn. The victory marred by an early injury to Danny Barton. Next Saturday, the team travels to Aberporth in the Emrys Morgan Cup.
