The Club are particularly keen to recruit additional volunteer coaches and parent helpers for its mini & juniors section.

We are specifically short of volunteers next season at Under 7/8's tag rugby and Under 9 & 10's contact rugby. In addition our Under 15's in particular need some coaching assistance from a player or ex player with recent experience.

If you are interested in helping on the training field but the world of rugby coaching all seems a little daunting, don't worry, you are not alone!

Most of the club's existing Mini & Junior coaches started as beginner Coaches, Volunteer Mum's and Dads, or "Roped-In" Helpers - many haven't played rugby themselves since school or college and their interest in the game has been rekindled by their children taking up the sport.

What they all have in common is they find coaching hugely rewarding.

You might be interested in getting involved in coaching but are worried:

> You don't know much about rugby or have recent experience
> You don't know how to coach
> You don't want to let the side down
> You want to do the best you can but don't know where to start
> You don't know what to coach at what age group
> You're worried about coaching "the wrong thing"

The Club can help you with all of this by providing:

> Access to a paid for entry level Rugby Ready Course that will teach you how to assist and coach safely - commitment one evening 3 hours
> Access to a paid for recognised Level 1 Coaching Course qualification that will teach you how to deliver coaching sessions effectively - commitment 3 x 6 hour days over 3 weekends
> A coaching manual with ready-made, age-appropriate, safe training activities, set out clearly on a single sheet, that even a child could understand
> Resources for the season to ensure your players will be learning the right skills for the right age group every session each season
> Coaching equipment to enable you to deliver the activities
> Club badged tracksuit and training top to identify you as a member of the Club's coaching team

Whether you are a parent of a child who is keen to do more than stand on the touchline, a player looking to get into coaching or a retired player looking to get back involved and pass on your experience to our younger players we would be delighted to hear from you.
