By Webmaster, 23rd Dec 2013

HERE'S TO A GREAT FESTIVE SEASON FOR ALL CONNECTED WITH HRFC.

Club Update

As we reach the end of the Calendar year it is always good to reflect on progress. We are pleased to report good progress on and off the field.

On the field:

  1. We have over 300 playing rugby from 5 to 53(congrats Rosco).
  2. The 1sts are close to securing a place in the new National 3.
  3. The 2nds are amongst the leaders in their league
  4. The 3rds are still breathing
  5. The Colts are going well, and the School of rugby is a great partnership with Knox
  6. The minis continue to have fun.

Off the field
We are ahead on profit over last year, largely through a concentrated focus on sponsors and subscriptions.

Look ahead to 2014
Going forwards we face a challenging period, with only one home 1st team game before the end of the season, so we need to gain as much income from the following events as possible:

Team’s Kitty Spend Night11st Jan
Valentines Disco15th Feb
Minis/Midis NightFeb(TBC)
French Night8th Mar
Six Nations PieFest15th Mar
Annual Sevens5th April
Camping Sleepover2nd May
End Season Awards DinnerMay(TBC)

New Year Resolutions

When the time comes you will no doubt be making new year resolutions.
Please give thought to the following:

  1. Resolve to offer help on any task in the Club, too much is still being done by too few.
  2. Resolve to attend as many events as you can.
  3. If you are a player, resolve to train and play as much as possible and confirm availability promptly.

Here's to further progress.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
