The next steps !

The management committee have now had time to digest the presentation given to us by our Review Board. As can be seen from the presentation in the “Documents” section of the website, the Review Team have proposed improvements to the structure for management of club affairs, both on and off the park.

This structure has been unanimously approved by the management committee. We now begin the process of implementing the changes required.

The priority is to appoint a new Head Coach and Assistant Coach/Player Coach as our Head Coach of the past two seasons, Steven Ferguson, has indicated that he will step down from this role at the end of the current campaign. We have spoken to our current Assistant Coach, Les Hamilton, and he is fully aware of our plans and is considering how he is to be involved in the future.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank both Steven and Les for their sterling efforts over the past two seasons.

An advert for a new Head Coach and Assistant Coach/Player Coach have been placed and I would ask all members to encourage any contacts in the game to look at the opportunities.

Some of the key changes identified to help us achieve our goal of a return to National League rugby are :-
• Colts team to be integrated as part of the senior Club, with a new Head Coach overseeing this age group.
• A new Director of Rugby responsible for the Midi and Mini sections of the club
• A Midi Rugby Lead
• A Mini Rugby Lead
• A Club Coach Co-ordinator

We are also be taking the necessary steps to fill these key roles as soon as possible, again anyone interested, please do speak to me. I can be contacted on 07725 768359.
