The funding is to help fund the final stage of our clubhouse redevelopment and comes as part of Persimmon Homes East Scotland’s Community Champions scheme, which sees the Bathgate-based builder donate up to £2,000 to charities and groups each month.

Keith Wallace, vice president at Haddington RFC, said: “We are delighted to receive this generous donation from Persimmon Homes East Scotland, at a time when our resources are stretched".

“We are currently building new homes at our Saxon Fields development at Gateside East in Haddington and noticed the work that the club has been doing in renovating its clubhouse.

“The club’s own fundraising efforts and dedication to improving its facilities made Haddington RFC an ideal candidate for our Community Champions funding.”
