Wick edge out Hailsham in epic encounter

Hailsham unlucky to leave Crabtree Park empty-handed after 7-goal thriller

Hailsham's spirited performance against Wick was not enoough to secure three away points at Crabtree Park on Saturday afternoon.

Hailsham led 1-0 at the break, courtesy of a Tristan Jarvis strike, and soon after the break Ashley Jarvis struck to make it 2-0. Michael Asare and Lee Bradshaw then netted to draw Wick level, before Tristan Jarvis again put the Stringers in the lead with his second of the afternoon.

However, they could not hold on as Lee Bradshaw got his second before a stoppage time winner from George Gaskin stole all three points for the home side.

Hailsham face Crowborough in the Sussex RUR Charity Cup on Tuesday before they entertain Wick at The Beaconsfield in the return fixture on Saturday 27th November.
