FIRST team management duo Dave Ricardo and his assistant Bill Gill have pledged their immediate futures to Hall Road Rangers as they prepare for next season.
The duo will therefore be in charge for Rangers return to the NCEL Premier Division next term.
Speaking last night Ricardo was pleased to be given the opportunity to build on their sensational first year at the club which saw them scoop the NCEL First Division title and enjoy extended runs in the FA Vase and East Riding Senior Cup.
Ricardo said;
“We are both delighted to continue to build on the success from last season and are aiming for further next term.”
Hall Road Rangers are preparing to embark on their return to the top tier of the NCEL next season after a sensational season which saw them collect a club-record points haul of 96 on their way to the First Division title.
They rubber stamped their return with a 2-1 win at Campion on the final day, but Ricardo and Gill are not content with just making up the numbers next season.
“Both Billy and myself do not just want to consolidate next year, we are looking to push on and aim for as high as we can.” Ricardo insisted.
“I believe we can push anyone we play and if we prepare right and strengthen in the right areas there is no reason why we cannot be up there and make a real fist of it next year.”
The 2016-2017 season validated the hard work going on both on and off the pitch at Haworth Park.
Rangers chairman Darren Sunley who has been a key figure in turning round the club's fortunes was delighted following last night's meeting when he added.
“Myself and Lee Myers met with Dave and Bill last night to put plans in place for the coming season. Following an excellent season the club is pleased to continue into the next phase pushing further for Hall Road Rangers.
The club is very pleased to retain the management team and is very much looking forward to hitting new targets over the coming season."
The players are set to report for pre-season training in late June
