Manager Holman was left confused and frustrated after a medic’s team beat a "on paper" strong Hambleton side and what made the manager so unhappy was that the team conceded 5 goals in a game which they should have won.
York medics now climb up the table after a gutsy performance and had Hambleton looking unfit at times which Holman needs to address in the upcoming games.

February will now be an important month if Hambleton are going to be title contenders but look a million miles away from that at the moment.

Hambleton sit bottom of the table but have 6 games in hand on the top side Hemingbrough but that will count for nothing if personal performances are not raised.

Hambleton this season have a healthy 24 man squad but it has to be said that this needs to be looked at and players de registered as it looks like some of the squad only want to play in good weather, manager Holman will be sitting down with the committee next week to discuss this and other matters.

Off the field things are looking much better with fund raising nights being organised the latest being a sportsman’s dinner on the 24th for all the local clubs and a race night in aid of the children’s trust on the 10th Feb at the Red Lion which Brian hopes to see as many players there as possible. Another casino night will be planned for Easter time for the club and a HFC Pool and Darts night is being organised for March.

So the only way is up from here as the club looks to push up the table in 2012.
