Hambrook have party time at The Chipping Sodbury Festival..........

The word Festival conjours up images of muddy fields and loud music..........actually rewind and lets think back to last Sunday at Chipping Sodbury CC and the BYCL orgnaised Kwik Cricket Festival.

The day was a great sucess with Hambrook taking two teams.

A big thank you to Rory and his team of parent helpers - nice one guys.
To all the players, parents and supporters thank you for your support.

We are also most greatful again to the BYCL for organising the event and Chipping Sodbury for being such great hosts!!

Maddie Long taking the first catch of the day and her face after catching the ball was priceless, she was more shocked than the rest of us. Young Charlie Long taking his first wicket. Jack Skeets picking up a wicket also. Evie Long was our first player to find herself bowling a hat trick ball which she would have got if I hadn't have called a no ball. Robbie Miller has a golden arm, getting two run outs in our last game as well as one in the first game. Corey Kislingbury also picking up a run out, Olly Rollanson took the only wicket in game three versus Chipping Sodbury which Hambrook won 253 - 245

Highlights for Hambrook A - Took to the pitch versus Hanham in their first game putting a total of 244 which ended in a close finish with Hanham scoring a total of 247. Hambrooks second game was against Lodway with Hambrook struggling scoring a total of 212 runs and Lodway finishing on a total of 262. Game three was a close game with Hambrook putting on a total of 231 and Rock Hampton winning in a nail biter with 235. Game four saw Hambrook take on Old Bristol/Westbury with Hambrook cruising to a total of 255 and holding Old Bristol/Westury to a small total of 233. Unfortunately I am unsure on who took wickets in Hambrook A however they took a massive 16 wickets and only losing 9 wickets themselves.

Best part of the day was the fact that all of our kids had a great time and had lots of fun and had the joy of winning some games !

Unfortunately we do not have the same score cards for Hambrook A as we do for the B team.
