The Golden Isles Rugby Football Club is a member of the Southern Division Three Rugby Union and plays summer 7's during the summer, a preseason schedule in the fall and ten league games in the season versus teams such as Hilton Head, Charleston, Macon, Valdosta and Savannah along with a St. Patrick's Day tournament in Savannah. Formed in 1976, the Golden Isles Hammerheads have a long tradition here in Southeast Georgia and our team is made up of gentlemen from Brunswick, St. Simons Island and members of the Navy from Kings Bay.
In order to be successful in our goals this year and for years to come we are looking for financial support from individuals and businesses. This support is needed to cover costs such as purchasing equipment, league participation fees, and referees for each home match and to host after match functions for the opposition. One of our main goals is to make rugby a well known sport here in Southeast Georgia and to show people here what people all over the world know, which is that rugby is a game for the ages. In order to make rugby a well known sport here we are hoping to develop long term relationships with companies interested in supporting local sport teams such as the Golden Isles Hammerheads. In return for their support the club would recognize our sponsors with their name on our uniforms: banners at home games, event flyers, emails and promotional materials we will distribute during home field matches.
As our growing club gathers recognition here locally, we ask you to support our club in becoming a premier rugby club in the Southern Division. Below you will find our sponsorship packages. We thank you for your consideration and support and we look forward to a long mutual relationship.
