Keep that same old feeling.
Moustachioed Armenian G.I. Gurdjieff once said “There is a cosmic law which says that every satisfaction must be paid for with a dissatisfaction”!
There should also be a cosmic law insisting that all football pitches are maintained just enough to save us from days like today.
Yes we were missing players on account of illness but today we also managed to lose a number of players in the long grasses of Rayne’s Park.
An unpleasant game of football ensued whereby a scrappy and hard fort encounter turned sour after a medley of refereeing decisions were missed were compounded by the fact that the opposition linesman had seemingly been commandeered into the game before having to rush off to his Adolf Hitler auditions.
Of course we jest however the biggest laugh had to come towards the end of the match when number 1 son was penalised and then punished with a Yellow Card after throwing an opposition player onto the floor after the lad insisted on swopping shirts before the final whistle?
So this result away to Raynes Park Yellows ended 1 a piece after we gifted the opponents a penalty when a “hand of god” incident occurred!
Our goal came when a scruffy nudge from Leo bobbled toward Seb who once again hit the back of the net.
A few players looked a little sluggish today and few more certainly need to increase their fitness levels to ensure this Knights side maintain an intensity that marries well with obvious talent.
