It's Sheffield Derby Day at Sandy Lane as Hallam FC visit for a place in the last 64 of the FA Vase....

The Ambers host the Countrymen in an intriguing all NCEL clash.

Our visitors currently sit in 7th Place in Division One with 34 Points from 19 games, their current league form reads:

P 6 W 2 D 1 L 3

Ryan Hindley's side boast an excellent unbeaten League away record of :

P 9 W 7 D 2 L 0

But do have indifferent form at their Sandygate home where the record reads:

P10 W3 D2 L5

Hallam's route to the game at Sandy Lane has seen them beat Central Midlands Side Harworth 4-3 at Sandygate in the 2nd qualifying round and in the last round they overcame fellow NCEL Division One side Selby Town with a 2-1 away win.

The Ambers route to the game has seen them beat :

AFC Liverpool(NWCFL) 1-0
Cheadle Town (NWCFL) 3-2
Shildon (Northern league) 5-4 (AET)

Peter Duffield's Ambers have bounced back from the defeat against Tadcaster 2 weeks ago that brought a 14 game unbeaten run to and end with 2 solid wins ( 5-0 & 2-0) against Swallownest & Armthorpe respectively, games in which a number of products from our highly acclaimed U19 squad have featured heavily.

Our visitors danger-man is Micheal Blythan who has 21 goals to his name , and he is likely to partner marquee recent signing Ash Longstaff who together with other recent experienced additions in James Knowles & ex Amber Jordan Turner sets up an intriguing affair for a place in the last 64.

The Ambers strike force of Jon Froggatt(20) & Kieran Wells(15) have hit 35 goals so far this with a defensive record that currently tops the stats table.

The Big game action kicks off at 3pm ...with the Ground , Bar & Snack Cabin open from 1.30.

This will be a cracker as 2 committed Sheffield teams fight it out to represent the city in the last 64 of the Fa Vase.... whose road to Wembley will continue and whose will end????
