The Ambers can confirm that Joe Thornton has today signed for the club...
The 27 year old versatile front man has today joined on a dual registration from NPL outfit Frickley Athletic.
The club would like to place on record their thanks to Lee Morris(Frickley Athletic manager) for his co-operation in helping the deal go through.
Joe has previously played for Ossett Albion, Pontefract, Staveley, Athersley, Goole, Tadcaster and was an NCEL title winner with Shaw Lane.
Ambers manager Mick Godber said of the capture " Joe has proven qualities at this level and will add experience & versatility to the squad"
Thornton said of his move " I'm looking forward to getting going .....and joining what is an excellent club."
Joe will be available for selection for tomorrows game at Staveley.
