The club received tragic news today of 1st team manager Colin Stair who died early this morning.Codger was a member of one of the most successful periods in the clubs history as a player and a manager.As a player with the club he was a League champion a League cup winner and won the Staffordshire FA Vase in 2005.The success continued when he moved into management,at Youth level in the County Minor Youth League and the Midland Floodlit Youth League.

He carried on the success when he took charge of the Reserves.Codger took over the reins of the first team a few years ago and built a side that last season won the Premier Divison,the Reserves winning the Division One title.

This season Codger has guided the first team to unprecedented success winning the League Cup,the prestigious Staffordshire FA Vase and only a few nights ago the Leek Cup,he has also guided the team to the top of the Premier Division table and on the brink of a unique quadruple,some achievment at any level.

He spent many an hour at the clubs Abbey Lane ground improving the facilities hoping to take the club to the next level.

A true gentleman taken to soon and will be missed by many.LEGEND
