A truly great day for the club with 3 of the junior colts making their debut for the senior team.

It’s been around 8 years since the last colt side came through at Harbury.

Matt Warren, 17, made his debut for the seniors at ten and put in a fabulous performance, making covering tackles and taking the ball to the line whilst putting the centres in space. He finished the game at 15 and was defensively sound. In the second half both Rob Rollason (Second Row) and Henry Steele (Back Row), both 17 came on and added a mass amount of energy to the forward pack. Rob continued his aerial dominance and was a massive impact in the lineout. Henry was his tenacious self and a beast around the breakdown. All three players wore the shirt with pride and even though the game got “heated” neither player backed down and stuck with the rest of the squad.

Both colts coaches were there to witness, Mike was watching from the side line and Gregg was trying to catch up with them. Both coaches are incredibly proud of the effort and drive of the lads who were really chucked in at the deep-end against a strong OL’s team. With some of the junior colts now old enough to play seniors, we hope the club will only from strength to strength.
