Raymond passed away last week after a long battle with cancer.
Better known as 'Mad Raymmie' when playing, it has to be said he didn't have his troubles to seek. On the playing field he was a fearless player, the kind you always wanted on your side for his no nonsense approach to the game. Though it had been some time since he turned out for the club, he was up at Elliot Road on a couple of occasions recently, to have a look at the re-constituted Harris in action.
His funeral took place at the Dundee Crematorium on Thursday 29th March.
Very sad news indeed.
Raymond was a hard man to train against as a youngster. That taught me some good lessons. Although I had not seen him in years I remember his strength well. As Stuart said, sad news.
