Harrogate Railway Athletic were surprise winners of the First Division North award as the club has been battling to improve its disciplinary record to avoid the threat of an FA fine. They have been so successful in turning things around that they incurred just two cautions in their four games to lift the award.
The club were presented with a 1.5 litre bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey by League Secretary Angie Firth. The presentation was made to Railway Manager Nigel Danby and Club President David Cartledge. The presentation was made before the kick off of home fixture against Salford on the 7th January.
