HARROW RFC
CODE OF CONDUCT
For all Members and Guests

Home Teams
• Ensure that visiting teams, their officials and spectators and the referees are made welcome both in the clubhouse and at the pitch.
• After the match, ensure that the referees are looked after and offered their expenses.
• Make sure that our visitors know about the meal arrangements and are entertained.

Away Teams
• Make yourselves known to your hosts and the referee.
• After the match, stay for a meal and a few drinks; accept their hospitality. Not all clubs have top class facilities but they do their best and rely on your support.

Everyone
• Do nothing that will spoil the enjoyment of the match or after match socialising.
• Do not promote or encourage violent or anti-social behaviour on or off the pitch.
• Do not use verbal abuse or threats against referees, players or spectators.
• Learn the laws of the game so that your encouragement of players and officials can be well informed.
• Support the referee; he is doing his best. Accept his decisions without dissent. No player is perfect, so do not expect perfect referees as without them there is no game.
• Do everything you can to ensure that playing, refereeing or watching rugby at all levels is a rewarding experience for all concerned, one that they will wish to repeat regularly and one that they will wish to encourage others to join.
• Respect the clubhouse and facilities and do nothing that will damage the fixtures and fittings.
• Children should be supervised at all times whilst in the clubhouse and not allowed to climb on the furniture (even with their shoes off), play ball games or run around, as they could be hurt by hot food or drinks being carried to tables.
• -Litter bins are provided throughout the clubhouse - please use them instead of dropping items on the floor or leaving them on the tables for someone else to dispose of.
