15 teams put on some terrific matches in the 10s Festival on Sunday at the club.

Another excellent Harrow Youth 10s Festival saw 15 teams compete in U15 and U16 competitions. Over 240 players took part in a packed schedule and we enjoyed seeing some of the best and most exciting rugby ever at our Festival.

In the U16 competition the Cup was won by a very impressive Enfield Ignatians RFC side and the Plate was won by our very own Harrow U16s who put in some great performances.

Our friends and long distance visitors from Beddau RFC in Wales triumphed in the U15 Cup with a team that played quite superbly and were a joy to watch. The U15 Plate was won by Stockwood Park U15.

33 matches played and a lot of fun and great rugby made for a terrific day to round off an amazing weekend at the club.

Of course none of it would be possible without the volunteers who gave their time to make it possible, some of them at the club from 8am to after 4pm. The U13 and U14 age groups played a massive role, reciprocating for their own Festival 3 weeks earlier, but a small army of helpers ensured it all went well, the catering was brilliant and all our visitors were looked after.

A special mention to Margaret Glynn who organises these festivals which are a popular fixture in the Youth calendar now, and to the refs who all put in a big shift with multiple very fast games. Thank you!

Don Barrell presented the trophies and tweeted his appreciation of the club's efforts and here's a couple of further comments which sum it up nicely:
"@Harrowrugbyclub a true rugby club, full of respect for you all, thank you so much for the invite and great hospitality"
"You folk at Harrow Rugby Club are an absolute credit to the game"

Well done Harrow!
