Next Saturday's match against London French cancelled and will be shown as a 0-0 draw

On Tuesday 17th April when I attended Twickenahm for the pre final briefing by the RFU I had ocassion to speak to our opponents from Baildon. They informed me that they had received dispensation from their league not to have to honour their last league fixture on 28th April 2012 because of their Twickenham Final appearance.

In view of the position taken in favour of our opponents I approached London and SE Competitions for a similar dispensation. Our position was slightly helped by the fact that we are top and promoted and London French are bottom and relegated and whatever the outcome would have been if the match was to be played it would make no difference to the final league table of Herts/Middx 2. Win or lose we would still be top and promoted and London French would still be bottom and relegated and no other Club in the league was going to be disadvantaged by the decision. It also helped that London French had already approached me last week as league secretary to establish what sanction I would impose if they didn't honour the fixture.

In view of all this, London and SE Competitions have agreed to allow the match to be cancelled. The game will be shown as a 0-0 draw with both Harrow and London French being awarded two league points.
