The day wasn't quite so successful on the pitch for the club with only one of our four sides winning their first league match of the season. Well done to the U15s for a superb win and effort and to the U13, U14s and U17s for all putting in a huge effort in their games. The rugby was very enjoyable and the atmosphere was excellent.

David Stronge, the referee in the U17s game v Fullerians wrote to me later and said "Well done also on a great rugby atmosphere at the club today. Testament to the dedication of volunteers and the organisers of same. " Very true.

Anyway, after such a busy day last week, this coming Sunday is a lot quieter at the club with the Minis away at Barnet Elizabethans RFC in their first fixture of the season. Good luck to all the teams and players!
