The FA recently released the dates for their various competitions for the forthcoming season. Harrow Borough will enter the FA Cup in the First Qualifying Round, which will take place on Saturday 14th September. Further dates should we progress are Second Qualifying (28th September), Third Qualifying (12th October), Fourth Qualifying (26th October) and First Round (9th November). The final will be played on 17th May. We also enter the FA Trophy in the First Qualifying Round, and this will be played on Saturday 5th October. Further dates should we progress are Second Qualifying Round (19th October), Third Qualifying Round (2nd November), First Round (23rd November), Second Round (14th December). The final will be played on Sunday 23rd March at Wembley Stadium. . View » -

Previously no more than a bit-part player with just four substitute appearances, and none of them to any great effect, former Crystal Palace youngster Vences Bola wrote his name into Harrow Borough legend with the winning goal on Thursday evening, thereby securing Harrow’s Premier Division status for another season. The goal capped an exciting evening of open attacking football from both sides, a fine advert for the Ryman League. View » -
All of the failings of a generally miserable season were on display in Corringham on Tuesday evening as another fixture passed by without Borough getting the points they need to guarantee absolutely their Premier Division survival. Horrendous defending allowed the hosts to take an early lead, thereby calming any nerves the play-off chasers might have had, before Harrow huffed and puffed but made little impact on the home goal until it was too late in the game to have any effect. Presented with a golden opportunity to seal their position in the Ryman Premier with a week to go, Borough blew it ‘big time’ with a flat, clueless performance against a thoroughly committed Lewes side that moved to within two points of Harrow as a result. The present total of 41 points might well prove enough next Saturday evening but the Earlsmead faithful were, not for the first time, left to wonder why the team can produce high-commitment performances such as those seen last Saturday at Concord one week, and totally inept displays such as this the next. .
