Harrow Borough’s Marc Charles-Smith, Jake Gilbert and Michael Peacock have committed themselves to the Club for next Season.

Preparations for the new season gathered pace as striker Marc Charles-Smith, midfielder/defender Jake Gilbert and central defender Michael Peacock committed themselves to the Club for at least one year.

Charles-Smith, the former Staines Town, Leatherhead and Billericay Town striker created a big impression when joining the Club in February from Burnham, making 13 appearances and scoring 6 goals. He quickly became popular with the fans with his never-say-die approach.

Gilbert became an integral part of Boro’s midfield last season despite being dually-registered with Hemel Hempstead Town and made 15 appearances for the Club, scoring 2 goals. He felt that this arrangement did not enable him to fully settle into the Club and he has decided to commit himself solely to Boro’ for the 2014-15 season.

Peacock, who quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite after joining from Hendon at the start of the 2012/13 season, has made 94 appearances for Boro’, scoring 4 goals. He finished the season on the treatment table having suffered a nasty ankle ligament injury, but is expected to be back to full fitness in time for the pre-season build up.

Manager Dave Anderson is delighted at these three signings which he believes shows the strong ambition of the Club for the forthcoming season. He has also agreed verbally with a further two players who are expected to put pen to paper shortly.
