For our visit to 4th place Coxhoe Athletic we had the bare 11with 9 players out for various reasons
Paul Moss and Kieran Campbell started after missing 12 games Josh Noble was back in goal while Aaron Hopper came in
We started in great style with John Stephenson hitting the bar on 3 minutes on 7 we fell behind a long clearance saw Noble beaten on the edge of box with an header Stephenson then hit a post on 8 minutes it looked like one of those days as we dominated and Stephenson had a 1 on 1 effort blocked the pace of the later and Dale Campion were causing Coxhoe problems.
A great 20 yard strike from Campion on 18 minutes brought us level as the home team hung on to see Stephenson hit the other post on 35 minutes on 41 minutes we went in front a Paul Donaghy free-kick wide on the left beat everybody.
Once again 2 minutes into the second we fell foul to another poor decision Hopper was brought down no whistle then to add insult to injury a goal yards offside stood but 3 minutes later great work and a cross by Stephenson saw Campion score at the back post.
On 64 minutes great play and cross by Joe Osbourne saw Mattie Gardner score at the near post then on 70 minutes Stephenson was brought down by the keeper and Alex Marshall fired home the penalty as Coxhoe pulled one back from a cross, but Stephenson got the goals he deserved on 84 after great play by Gardner and 86 minutes after hounding the home defence into mistakes.
A Great performance by the young 11 with 4-18 year olds With Stephenson , Hopper ,Campbell and Campion in great form with Moss adding great experience to the defence overall an excellent all round team effort
