After a poor scrappy goalless first half nobody could have guessed the final score line as we conceded 4 goals from long balls on the break

For the second season running we suffered a 5-1defeat a score line that looked unlikely after a poor scrappy goalless first half when the only thing of note was a 15th minute injury to Kieran Campbell and a good block by Phil Wilson on debut after a poor back pass as both keepers were not called on to make any sort of save.
The home keeper made an excellent save from a Alex Marshall header early in the second half but we fell behind on 57 minutes a long ball sent the striker clear who beat Wilson to the ball on the edge of the box to score.
We soon drew level when a Sam Cook corner was headed home by Ashley Turnbull it was any body’s game till 72 minutes when out of the blue when there was no danger on the right 30 yards out the home midfielder fired home an unstoppable shot from a loose ball this proved to be the killer and game changer 2 minutes later another long ball sent the striker clear to score it was ditto on 80 and 88 minutes to give the final score a lop sided look.
We were way below our best created little we looked sluggish and short of bite and were caught out to many times in both half’s by long balls not the best of starts but look to bounce back on Monday
