The u/17s playing their first game for the club stormed back from a 2 goal delicate at h/t to win 4-3 over a very good big Thornaby team.
They made a nightmare start conceding 2 goals inside 10 minutes 2 balls over the top saw the stand in keeper glued to his line making it easy for the goal scorer, Thornaby looked dangerous every time they went forward as the u/17s took a while to settle and come into the game with both Sam Milburn and Ben Weighill both inches wide and high.
They upped their game in the second half and started to dominate and an excellent ball saw Jack Sullivan finish well then Blayne Hall hit a post then Luke Theasby made it 2-2from a Ollie Smith cross.it was soon 3-2 a free kick was header back across for Kian Waggot to head over the keeper but a free-kick to Thornaby saw the home keeper misjudge they effort as it ended up in net but with 5 minutes Tyler Miley picked up a loose ball on half way to break down the left before cutting inside a covering defender to fire home a screamer of right foot shot to win the game in tremendous style.
A good start with 14 players getting game time with 4 others missing
