Hartlepool are on the road for the third successive weekend this Saturday when they travel to Newton Aycliffe in Durham Northumberland 2 (3pm KO).

Pool returned to winning ways with a 7 try 13-37 victory over Winlaton Vulcans last time out. While the hosts were defeated 23-10 at the hands of Bishop Auckland.

The visitors have endured a some what disjointed September with a number of unavailabilities each week but such is the nature of the game that has provided opportunities for others to stake their claim.

Andrew Small, Carl Hanson, Michael Smalley, Joe Myers and Lewis Wilson are all missing for Hartlepool.

Zac Ivey, who has been in excellent try scoring form for the 'A' Team, is set to make his first team debut and replaces the banned Wilson on the wing.

Fellow Colt Ben Drewett is also in line for his debut. The centre is rewarded for his hard work throughout pre season and performances in the opening games with a spot amongst the replacements.

They will become the 4th and 5th players from the Under 18's to make their bow in the first team squad this season following in the foot steps of Sam Kitching, Tom Lister and Jack Harrion.

And first starts are the order of the day with back row and new signing Phil Stevenson set to make his following a cameo from the bench last week.

Sam Kitching makes the move from blindside up to partner Jack Richardson in the second row with both men hoping to continue their impressive form.

Liam Turnbull and James Shaw are also called up to the match day squad and complete the trio of replacements.

T Stead, Williamson, N Stead, Kitching, Richardson, Stevenson, Carney, Johnson, Foreman, P Wilson, Hall, Thomas, Chester, Ivey, Ainley.

Reps: Turnbull, Shaw, Drewett.

Hartlepool 'A' return to the home comforts of Mayfield Park for the first time this season following last week's venue switch to WHTDSOB.

Like the first team they have been hit by numerous unavailabilities but such is the depth of the senior squad this season that they are still able to call upon 20+ players.

Consett are the visitors in the CANDY League and Pool will be hoping to produce a similar performance to that against Barnard Castle last week to give them a platform to go on and claim their first win of the season.
